
Okay, it would be cool to hear that "Hey, you helped saving our little town, so here's the key of that nice shack, enjoy your stay!", but backing your potential move to Victor's home would be too much.

Think about it: where are you sleeping every time you start a new character? Whether it's Doc Mitchell's house, the abandoned trailer behind the store or Victor's shack, you can feel that you're just a guest, no more. Me too, but I think it's self-explanatory somehow: why should the player move forward if the game give him everything right at the beginning? Getting a decent home right in the first hour would be counter-initiative from the gameplay's perspective, at least the current way you're feeling that Goodsprings is a temporary place in your journey.

no bed, no running water, no workbench / reloading bench (maybe they're extra items, but several other locations have such features), no fridge (for storing food - RP purposes), no couch / chair, no radio.
